Only thing it shows are free samples?! How do I BUY a book with this stupid app?! It works great on my droid but apparently all we get are free samples on iOS?

The latest version of the app will not install, and is therefore unusable.

My play books app on my iPad wont open since I tried to download new update.

The app says the books is downloaded, however when I try to read offline it is not completely downloaded.

Works perfectly. I dont know what the 1 stars are talking about.

This is the first iteration of books that works both on my iPad and iPhone. Kudos to Google for making a huge selection of scanned books available for all to read. There are some real jewels, thanks!

Even has night mode

Google play books is the best way to sync books across devices (better than iBook) but this app just doesnt work. I get a black screen after the splash screen and then it crashes. Google, please update this app and address the serious crash issues! I am reading my own epubs that I have uploaded. Theyre just standard epubs

This is the best app for read in multiple devices

Need fixing I believe its for syncing because I cant get any of my books on this app that I bought and I went to it on my PC, and I see the book on there

I went from another tablet to an iPad which I consider superior in most ways but I really missed playbooks! Thanks to this app I now have all my old books on my iPad Air. Its the best of both worlds!

It tries to download and keeps trying to "upgrade" my books. It tries to download and allows me to start reading a partly downloaded book but then drops back to the Read Now page or out of the app all together.

This erased all of my notes and the ones it didnt erase it put them on a different page. Erased all of my underlined paragraphs and underlined ones that didnt need to be

I like the interface and fonts offered by this app. I cant stand the crashiness. It seems as though large books require larger amounts of RAM even when not being actively read, because I have multiple books with thousands of pages and the app is often sluggish (when it isnt just plain crashing).

Bad down load, dont get the photos. blank pages.

I had a Samsung tablet before. Now I chose to use IPad rather. I am glad I still have my previous books with me on Google play books. But I dont really understand why it sometimes crash. We have others like Amazon kindle apps which work perfectly fine. I expect more from Google play books. Options we have got arent enough. You need to work more.

How hard is it to develop a book app that doesnt require you to download every god damned page each time you flip to a new page even after you downloaded the book already? My big mistake for having bought books on Google play.

Im glad to have this and to have my ebooks! And I love how easy it is to view samples. But I cant buy any OR see any of the deals. Like I could in the google play store app (that I cant get here in the iOS store.)

Good app, however if the define function is used during night light the definition is brought up in blinding white light
