Sorry, I could not search for a book....deleted.

Problems since the update: free samples cant be downloaded, images not shown and books can not be found in library, although suggested in the read now ! Please fix

Not user friendly as most google stuff. Lack of instructions. Got a blank page saying no book yet. That is it. It doesnt tell you how get book. The only thing in the menu is log out & rate this. That is how I got here. That was the only option ???

Just got this app because I could not get a certain foreign language book on amazons kindle. I looked on google play books and there it was! Not only was it once click away from owning it, it was about 25% cheaper than amazon or other online book stores I visited. After installing the iPhone app my purchase appeared right away. Am also happy with the features of googles ebook reader. The slick page flip animation is just the icing. The fact that you cannot purchase an ebook directly through the app is valid also for kindle and is due to Apples restrictions in app design. It doesnt really matter since you can open a browser, log into google play and get your book. It will then show up in a sec on your iPhone app. And if you are lucky way cheaper then from other stores.

Best cross platform book reading app. Love the new material design.

In study the underline will jump around page. Even though love many aspects of the update it used to be my favourite study app now it is always freezing up and not working.

The new update is horrible. Very slow. Always stuck trying to update itself. Wished I never upgraded to the new app.

I love how I never lose my place within a book, nor lose a book if I have a device break.

My first mistake was buying a book in Google play and then finding out I cant get the PDFs to load it in iBooks Got this app. No highlighting no one taking. Means I have to read this with my Mac next to it to take notes. Then when you zoom in the PDFs scanned pages you can scroll only within the page. To change pages you have to zoom out very frustrating. No default zoom for a volume that you can set. Then, as you flip through the pages, it shows you a brief view of a page three pages back before the right page shows up. Once in a while the app just crashes on my iPad. Waste of time.

Actually useless would be more accurate. Its impossible go to a site to buy a book and when I did finally buy the book it wont download to the app.

Ive followed directions to delete books, delete app, remove and then re-add my account with no luck. App will occasionally render the first page if gods are content but its still a 90% failure rate. And if I switch to the next/prev page its 100% failure rate. Terrible experience, unusable app.

This app is always crashing after reading a few pages.

The concept is awesome; reading a book from multiple platforms... If it worked! Ive called Google because loading books takes for ever and was not able to read them properly. Their response was that they are not responsible for the hardware "iPad". Seriously! If you dont have the intent to built a usable app, just dont offer it! It does not send a good message...

Was excited to be able to read a book interchangeably between both my iPad and Google phone. Too bad this app works nothing like my google phones counterpart app. Cant lock orientation, and page takes considerably long to load back up when I accidentally tilt the device. Few other glitches and some crashes occurred. If this worked exactly like my phones version I would continue to use it. And probably wouldve been willing to pay for the cross platform feature.

The application systematically close, when I try to highlight something in the book Im reading. Very frustrating.

Lags when opening a book and when trying to flip pages. It really hampers the reading experience.

Slow as a snail on the iPad 3 and doesnt show the correct status on downloaded books!!!

Highlight options dont always come up on first tap. Often need to double or triple tap.

Using this on an iPad Mini with retna has been a frustrating experience. for some reason books just refuse to download, the download icon animates but the progress just never seems to update. I have to fight with the app, close it and reopen it multiple times to finally get it do download anything. When i try to highlight a word to define it or select it the app will just crash randomly. When I try to bookmark a page the app will just crash, or it will not place the book mark until I close and reopen the app. Uploading books to google play is really easy, and the books do show up in my library but downloading these books to read them puts me through the same frustration as downloading books that I have purchased.
